Michael received a Master's in Business Taxation from the University of Southern California and a Bachelor's in Business Accounting from the University of Texas.

Experience
Michael Allmon has over 30 years of experience in tax planning and preparation, estate planning, and financial planning for businesses and individuals. Mike held various executive and managerial positions with Laventhol & Horwath in Los Angeles for over six years, during which he was a member of the Western (US) "cluster group" responsible for the practice of philosophy relating to Personal Financial Consulting Services. Mike joined Zusman, Cameron & Allmon as a partner in charge of Tax and Personal Financial Consulting Services before founding Michael B. Allmon & Associates, LLP, CPAs in 1988.

Professional Activities
Founding Chair of the Estate Planning Committee (Statewide committee) for the California Society of CPAs (CalCPA).

Member of the Executive Board of Directors of the Estate & Gift Committee of the Taxation Section of the State Bar of California.

Chair and founding member of the Estate Planning Committee (one of the largest technical committees of CPAs in the US) for the Los Angeles Chapter of CalCPA.

Founding Chair of the Los Angeles Chapter of CalCPA's Mentoring and Internship Program, which he launched at Loyola Marymount University and has since expanded to CSU Los Angeles.

Advisory Board member and partner of Loyola Marymount University's Career Development Services (CDS).

Appointed Committee member for 2008 of the Group Insurance Trust of the California Society of CPAs (CalCPA).

Former member of the Board of Directors and former Vice-president of the Los Angeles Chapter of the California Society of CPAs (10,000 LA Chapter members).

Registered private trustee of the California Department of Justice.

Former member of the Council (Board of Directors, at that time) of the CalCPA (30,000 members).

Member of other professional committees of the Los Angeles Chapter of CalCPA including Taxation Committee (chair of the Estate Tax division) and Personal Financial Planning Committee (member of Steering Committee).

In November 2001, Mike spoke at "Tax Night", the annual event co-sponsored by the Los Angeles Chapter of the California Society of CPAs and the Taxation Section of the Los Angeles County Bar Association. Hobbies
Currently residing in the Manhattan Village, Mike has been an active member in the Manhattan Beach community since 1977. He is a founder of the Wall-Nuts, a local running group that meets at Valley and Walnut in Manhattan Beach every Sunday morning to jog along the old railroad trail and train for the local annual 10k. Mike was also an AYSO and club soccer coach for his daughters throughout their childhoods. He is currently the leader of the Neighborhood Watch on his street. And, as you may have discovered via browsing the website, Mike is an avid collector of armadillo paraphernalia (his Texas roots are showing!)
